COVID WEEKLY UPDATES

We hope this update finds you safe, healthy and filled with the joy and hope of Christ as we enter the Christmas season. Aug Prep has remained an incredibly safe place for our students to learn and grow. Since opening on September 28 to our first group of elementary students, we have seen no COVID spread happening at school. However, we are concerned by the continued increase in COVID cases impacting our families outside of school - close contacts as well as the increasing number of our students doing virtual learning that have been impacted by COVID.

Please do all you can to continue to be safe and encourage safety within your families - wear masks, wash hands frequently, social distance and avoid gatherings. This is particularly hard to do during the holidays but, for the safety of our families, we ask our families to do all you can to stay safe and have your children follow safe practices. For the safety of our students, staff and families, we will continue to be hyper-vigilant about sending any students and staff with symptoms home.

Note: We did make a decision to close a pod of students the weekend before Thanksgiving. This is reflected in the "close contact" data above.

Reminder, If your students show any COVID symptoms, have had close contact with a positive case or live in a household with a current positive case, please ensure you complete this form.

Virtual Learning for all returning from Christmas break

The first week of school after Christmas will be virtual for ALL Aug Prep students to allow for quarantine after the holidays. The school will be virtual for all students Monday, January 4 through Friday, January 8 following the normal 7:15 am - 3:30 pm schedule. Wave 1 and 2 students will return in-person on Monday, January 11.

ALL CURRENT STUDENTS MUST RE-ENROLL FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR!

Re-enrollment has begun! All current students must re-enroll for the 2021-2022 school year if they plan to return. This is a new process starting this year and will continue going forward. The new re-enrollment procedure will require all students (current and new) to follow the 3 steps below:

Complete a school application starting now through January 31 - This will require parents/guardians to complete an online application through our student portal. To begin your application, please click here. Once complete, you will receive an automated email confirmation. Returning students will receive an acceptance letter within 30 days of submitting a complete application.
Secure funding - Most students secure funding through the Milwaukee/WI Choice Program or the Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP). Your next step will be determined by which funding you use:
- Milwaukee/WI Choice Program - Must apply online between February 1 and February 20, 2021, and provide verification of address (and income for new students) by February 20, 2021.
- SNSP - Students currently funded by the SNSP program need to submit proof of residency dated between August 21 - September 30, 2021, by September 30, 2021. Students new to the SNSP program must send their IEP to the Enrollment Department as soon as possible to initiate the funding process.
Onboarding - Please be sure to review all letters and emails regarding required attendance to orientation, class assignments, picnic, etc.
