Liza Basso Drama Teacher / EBasso@augprep.org

Ms. Basso earned her bachelor’s degree in education and theatre from Saint Louis University. In addition, she earned her teaching license certification in Theater Ed at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

Ms. Basso began her journey in education by bridging her two passions: character development and theater. She directed a Theater for Young Audiences production entitled The Bully Plays, spreading awareness about the repercussions of bullying. The show toured to middle schools around the Saint Louis and central Illinois areas.

Ms. Basso went on to teach in two community outreach programs in the urban Milwaukee area. She was the Program Facilitator of Theater and Recreation for First Stage at Kluge Elementary’s CLC Program. Additionally, she taught for Danceworks, Inc. MadHot Ballroom program in various urban Elementary Schools.

She completed the required certification for her teaching license by working in both Rufus King International High School, and Golda Meir School. Ms. Basso is thrilled to join this passionate group of educators here at Augustine Prep!
