Emily Perron High School Special Education Teacher

Ms. Emily Perron is a passionate professional who studied Communication and Adaptive Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College. There she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in December 2017. She has a passion for serving others and helping individuals succeed, and aims to advocate for all students.

Emily believes God has a purpose for every student and truly believes Phillipians 4:13, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” Emily was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at age 3, a disability that affects her fine motor muscle movement, including her ability to walk and talk.  Her journey has not been easy but has strengthened her Faith and passion to share Christ.

It was once said Emily may not ever be able to navigate a curb but she has without a walker or wheelchair. After a difficult middle school experience with bullies and going to three different schools, Emily chose to continue with her Confirmation. Emily felt God moving her and during high school, for the first time, Emily was an honor roll student and held many leadership positions. Emily went from being an average, bullied student in middle school to taking college-level classes during her last two years of high school. She also overcame physical challenges to become a 2nd-degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. Emily credits God for her success and developed a passion and determination to help all students chase their dreams and reach their full potential.

Emily is very proud to be a paraprofessional at Aug Prep. She strives to help encourage others to try their best at all things, and remind all students (and staff) that God has a unique plan for each individual, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
