Matthew Roth Elementary School Drama Teacher

Mr. Roth first earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Drake University.  After moving to New York to pursue a career in acting, he worked part-time as an after-school teacher and an assistant director at St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn.  It was there he discovered his passion for teaching.

After six years in New York, Mr. Roth returned home to Milwaukee to pursue a career in theatre education.  While working to obtain his degree in Theatre Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Mr. Roth worked at First Stage Children’s Theatre. There, he tought a broad range of subjects including voice, improvisation, and Shakespeare. He most recently worked at the CLC program at Kluge Elementary school on Milwaukee’s northwest side. 

Mr. Roth completed the certification for his teaching license at Brown Deer Middle/High School, where he worked as an assistant director on multiple productions.  He also recently was a substitute teacher at his alma mater, University School of Milwaukee.
