Mr. Hilderbrand started his teaching career at Battery Creek High School in Beaufort, South Carolina in 2006. He taught Global Studies I, Global Studies II and was the Head Boys Varsity Soccer Coach. He has a passion for seeing young people become motivated and reach their potential and surpass it through education and hard work.
In the fall of 2007 Mr. Hilderbrand returned to the school he had student taught at in Anderson, South Carolina, Westside High School. Mr. Hilderbrand taught World Geography at Westside for the next 6 years and was the Head Boys Varsity Soccer Coach. He was also the School Improvement Council Chairman and a Freshman Team Leader.
Mr. Hilderbrand continued his career at Byrnes High School in the Freshman Academy in 2013 where he taught World Geography, Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach, served as a Freshman Academy Team leader, he served on several teacher evaluation teams and participated in the 1 to 1 technology Model Classroom by DELL initiative.
In 2006, Mr. Hilderbrand earned a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University in History/Social Studies Secondary Education. In 2014, he earned a Master’s degree from Anderson University in Education Administration and Supervision.
