Ms. Williams is originally from the City of Chicago and is new to the Milwaukee area. As an educator, her goal is to ensure that diversity is recognized within her classroom and celebrated. She wants to ensure that all students have the opportunity to be successful and to love learning by connecting with the literature she brings into her classroom and the inclusive classroom environment she creates. She completed her student teaching at a Title I school in Columbia Public Schools and is excited to bring what she learned during her time there into her own classroom.
Over the years, Ms. Williams has spent her summers working at Phantom Lake YMCA Camp where she held positions as Resident Camp Counselor, Resident Camp Program Director, and Assistant Camp Director. She helped to create new programming for the organization and oversaw the daily operations.
Ms. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
