I aspire for all our St. Augustine Prep scholars to achieve academic and social/emotional success at their highest potential. I believe it is our role to develop scholars spiritually to contribute to God’s mission in our society. It is also critical for our scholars to develop the necessary skills that will enable them to be successful in the global workforce.

I earned my undergraduate degree at Mount Mary University with a double major in Spanish and Social Work. My favorite part of college was studying abroad and working at an orphanage in Peru. After college, I immediately continued my education and earned a Master’s degree in School Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with an emphasis in working with scholars with special needs.

I was then employed by Milwaukee Public Schools. My role included teaching social-emotional lessons in bilingual classrooms. I also implemented academic interventions in a self-contained classroom for students diagnosed with behavioral disabilities. I served on teams that evaluated scholars for special education. After this experience, I transitioned to work as the Director of Student Support and Assistant Principal of a K4-8 Choice School on Milwaukee’s Southside. During this time, I obtained an additional Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. I then moved to a Choice school on the Northside where I spent two years working as a principal.

I have had the opportunity to serve as the middle school principal at Augustine Prep for the past three years. I strongly believe in developing scholars to be tomorrow’s leaders and creating shared leadership amongst our staff. I aspire to provide our teachers with the coaching necessary to implement rigorous instruction and faith formation that prepares our scholars to be ready for the next grade level, high school, college, and beyond. I enjoy working with ALL scholars and have a special place in my heart for scholars who have diverse learning and behavioral needs. During my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, working out, reading, and volunteering.
