Marisol Sanchez

Ms. Alamo has joined St. Augustine Preparatory Academy, as the Director of Family and Community Engagement.

 

Most recently, Ms. Alamo worked for the Seton Catholic Schools network as the Manager of Marketing and Student Recruitment. In that role, she assisted in advancing the network’s mission of developing high-quality Catholic elementary schools in the Milwaukee region by leading the network-wide marketing and student recruitment priorities.

 

Prior to that, Ms. Alamo served a dual role as the Enrollment Specialist and Dean of Students for Bruce Guadalupe Community School under the umbrella of the United Community Center (UCC). She also worked in the Pre-College Department of the UCC, as the Youth Volunteer Corps Program Coordinator and the Mentor Program Coordinator. In these roles, she was afforded firsthand experiences working with high school and college students in an array of pre-college programming.

 

Ms. Alamo attended Marquette University as a recipient of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Scholarship and then transferred to the University of La Verne in Southern California, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Diversified Education with a Concentration in Ethnic Relations.

 

Ms. Alamo is also a Graduate of the Future Milwaukee Community Leadership Program offered through the College of Professional Studies at Marquette University and a member of the Latino Enrollment Institute (LEI) Class of 2017 at the University of Notre Dame.

 

In the process of educating students, Ms. Alamo has always been fully committed to guiding and assisting youth and families to obtain the best educational opportunities. Her goal and drive in life is to transform the lives of students and families in the community and inspire them to become transformational leaders.
