Sara Wager

Ms. Wager has served as school social worker at AugPrep since they opened their doors in 2017 and feels humbled and blessed to work with such amazing students and families each and every day. Ms. Wager is our Social Work Team Lead, as well as works directly with the Freshmen and Senior High School students.

Beyond her work at AugPrep, Ms. Wager has extensive experience serving youth and families and has been working in Social Services on the south side of Milwaukee for over 10 years, including experience in educational settings, community health centers and emergency departments. Prior to living in Milwaukee, she lived in Honduras, Central America for over two years, working with a ministry for abandoned children in foster care, providing respite care in the foster homes as well as assisting in the bilingual K-12 school on campus. Thanks to her experience in Honduras, Ms. Wager is also fully fluent in both English and Spanish languages.

Ms. Wager holds a Bachelors degree with a double major in Psychology and Bible from Northwestern College in Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ms. Wager has obtained WI licensure in Advanced Practice Social Work as well as her Pupil Services School Social Work license.

Ms. Wager has a passion for helping students and families overcome barriers, achieve their goals and become responsible and successful leaders in their community, all while loving the Lord and walking the journey and purpose of life that Christ has prepared for them.
