Report Card

Aug Prep has exceeded or significantly exceeded expectations on ALL state report cards

Since its inception, Aug Prep has exceeded or significantly exceeded expectations on ALL state report cards. To achieve a 5-star report card, you need 83 or more points. For the 22-23 school year, our school earned 82.7 points on the report card for our Choice students and 78.5 on the report card for all students, thus earning 4 stars on both report cards this year. Although this may not be the result we had aimed for, it is an achievement worth celebrating. We are proud to be the #1 K4-12 school in Milwaukee and #2 statewide.

Other highlights of this report card include:
  • The academic growth of our students exceeds that of 98% of students statewide.
  • Our overall score ranks us in the top 10% of schools statewide and the top 5% of schools in Milwaukee.
  • When looking at Milwaukee schools serving >75% economically disadvantaged students, Aug Prep has the highest percentage of students proficient or advanced in ELA (English Language Arts).
  • Of schools that serve high school students and a population that is over 75% economically disadvantaged, we are #1 statewide.
  • Aug Prep High School students grew nearly two points between their PreACT and ACT test, more than 2.5x the national Hispanic average, regardless of income.
Providing more opportunities for more students matters. We know there are thousands of families across our city desperate for a great school for their children. We’re especially proud of our results given we are one of the largest schools in the state--we are in the top 2% of student enrollment statewide (and still growing!).

Yet, we are committed to growing better while we grow bigger. The report card serves as a candid reminder that while we have a lot to be proud of, our school will not relent in our constant pursuit of what’s best for our students. We have analyzed the results from a number of perspectives and implemented significant new initiatives to move our students forward. We are encouraged to already see those new strategies yielding positive outcomes.

We hold firm to the belief that our students are no less capable than students anywhere else, and our work at Aug Prep instills hope that ripples across our city today and will someday impact generations to come.
