Bennett Gillies

Mr. Gillies was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a BA in Music, specializing in Voice. He began his teaching career in Rockford working as a teacher’s assistant for a preschool classroom. 

Prior to that, he worked with a local children’s community theater as part of their directing team or summer camp director. In his free time he enjoys participating in local musical productions, disc golf and playing board games.

Mr. Gillies is extremely excited to begin his time here at St. Augustine Prep, sharing and creating music with the upper elementary students.
