Kiley Ketzer

I have been living in Wisconsin since 2003 since my family moved from Phoenix, Arizona.  I have grown up in Racine, Wisconsin and have come to call the small town my home.  Upon graduating high school, I pursued my dream of being the first in my family to go to college at Alverno College in Milwaukee.  

 

At first, I was majoring in Nursing but I felt Jesus call me and guide me down the path of education.  Answering his call, I changed my major from Nursing to double majoring in Secondary Education and History with a minor in Global Studies with no regrets.  One of my fondest memories was taking a class called Model UN at Alverno where the class picked a member country of the United Nations, research the country and it's policies, and prepared to go to Chicago for a weekend to meet with other colleges/universities as if we were the United Nations meeting together to solve the problems of the world.  I was excited to do this class twice, once as the delegation of Tanzania and second as the delegation of Chile.

 

After graduating from Alverno College in 2019, I have had the privilege and blessing of working in both the Milwaukee area at Atlas Preparatory Academy and in the Racine area at 21st Century Preparatory School.  I am excited to join the Aug Prep family and bring the joys of Social Studies to all students that come into my class. 

 

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks with my German Shepherd Oakley, playing video games with my friends, reading & writing stories.
