Aug Prep North Opens Applications for Inaugural 2026-27 School Year
Rooted in faith and building on the success of Aug Prep’s original South Campus, new school on former Cardinal Stritch site takes next step toward welcoming students

Milwaukee (Sept. 22, 2025) – St. Augustine Preparatory Academy (“Aug Prep”), a high-performing K4-12 Christian school, announced today that the application process is now open for students to become a part of Aug Prep North’s founding class for the 2026-27 school year.

With state-of-the-art academic, arts and athletics facilities currently under construction at the former Cardinal Stritch University site, Aug Prep North is accepting applications for students who will be in K4-6th grades and 9th grade in fall 2026.

Interested students and families can find additional information and begin their application on the school’s website. Students and families also are invited to attend an Early Access Enrollment event on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon; visit this link for additional information about the event.

Aug Prep North will follow the track record of success established by Aug Prep’s original South Campus, the #1 rated K-12 school in Milwaukee and one of the top-rated schools in Wisconsin. Through its four pillars – faith, family, academics and arts/athletics – an Aug Prep education focuses on equipping the whole child - mind, body and soul - with excellence.

The new North Campus will expand access to Aug Prep’s high-quality Christian education for even more Milwaukee-area students.

“As this ambitious project comes to life, we cannot wait to welcome Aug Prep North’s founding class,” said Aug Prep CEO Abby Andrietsch. “Students will thrive in an environment that provides an education rooted in faith and focused on developing the whole child, inspired by the student success we see every day at Aug Prep South. Beyond that, each of the students in this first class will play a foundational role in helping us build a student and school culture that will last well beyond their graduation. If this opportunity resonates with you, please reach out to our team to learn more.”

A Unique Learning Environment

The school will start with approximately 330 students in K4-6th and 9th grades, adding new classes each year to become a K4-12 school serving approximately 1,500 students.

Aug Prep North leaders envision a mix of tuition-paying students and students who qualify for school choice funding programs, creating a unique environment where students from different socioeconomic backgrounds can learn with – and from – each other to prepare them to flourish in life.

Additional information about the application process, tuition, financial assistance and more is available on the school’s website. Students who plan to participate in the Milwaukee or Wisconsin Parental Choice Program should submit an Aug Prep application this fall, and their Choice application beginning February 2, 2026. School representatives will work with families to help them determine their eligibility for the Choice program or need-based tuition assistance.

A Strong Foundation

Founded in 2017, Aug Prep’s founding South Campus is the #1 rated K-12 school in Milwaukee and one of the top-rated schools in Wisconsin. Aug Prep has exceeded or significantly exceeded expectations on the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction report card every year. Originally launched on the south side of Milwaukee with 595 students, Aug Prep has grown to serve nearly 2,400 students.

Aug Prep South students are from nearly 50 different zip codes, a testament to the school’s broad reach across the Milwaukee region. For the 2025-26 school year, Aug Prep received over 3,900 applications for nearly 2,400 seats -- a sign of the continued need for more high-quality schools in Milwaukee.

To meet that need, Aug Prep’s founders, the Ramirez family, and its supporters are investing more than $100 million to transform the former Cardinal Stritch University campus into Aug Prep North.
