March 15, 2020

Dear Aug Prep Families,

Earlier today, we shared the news that Aug Prep is now closed as of tomorrow, Monday, March 16. We did not make the decision lightly, especially knowing the impact this has on our families. On Friday we shared our plans to remain open through Tuesday in order to give students time to learn and better understand the distance learning systems and our families time to plan childcare and schedules to allow for the extended school closure. Over the weekend, we monitored the progress of COVID-19 in the Milwaukee area. While we have no known cases within either staff or students at Aug Prep, the risk of being carriers for our families and community was too great to remain open. Current plans are to re-open on April 6, 2020.

We will continue to communicate with all of our families during the closure period to best support you and your students through this period.

Key Information:

Remember, God is present and in control. Always. There are a lot of moving pieces for families right now – school, jobs, health, etc. God is walking with each of us through this. Throughout the Bible, God reminds us He is with us , He is in control and He does not want us to live in fear.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” ~ Psalm 46:1

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ~ Joshua 1:9

We are including an updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for families given the ongoing changes, information and government directives.
