Ms. Emily Perron is a passionate educator who studied Communication and Adaptive Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College. There she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in December 2017. She has a passion for serving others and helping individuals succeed, and aims to advocate for all students.
Ms. Perron believes God has a purpose for every student and truly believes Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” Ms. Perron was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at age 3, a disability that affects her fine motor muscle movement, including her ability to walk and talk. Her journey has not been easy but has strengthened her Faith and passion to share Christ.
It was once said that she may not ever be able to navigate a curb but she has without a walker or wheelchair. After a difficult middle school experience with bullies and going to three different schools, she chose to continue with her Christian Confirmation. Ms. Perron felt God moving her and during high school, for the first time, she was an honor roll student and held many leadership positions. Emily went from being an average, bullied student in middle school to taking college-level classes during her last two years of high school. She also overcame physical challenges to become a 2nd-degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. Ms. Perron credits God for her success and developed a passion and determination to help all students chase their dreams and reach their full potential.
Ms. Perron has served Aug Prep in many roles including HS Special Education Paraprofessional, HS Fellow Teacher, and HS Summer School Teacher and looks forward to helping others succeed. She strives to help encourage others to try their best at all things, and remind all students (and staff) that God has a unique plan for each individual, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
