Jonathan Kumar Middle School Fellow Teacher /

Upon his graduation from Cardinal Stritch University in 2017, Mr. Kumar began his teaching career by teaching seventh grade English Language Arts in a Milwaukee Public school . Wanting to become a part of a Catholic school, Mr. Kumar accepted a position as a long-term ELA substitute teacher at St. Josaphat on the southside of Milwaukee.  There, he worked with students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade. When his placement at St. Josaphat ended, Mr. Kumar was excited to join Prince of Peace as a sixth grade ELA teacher.  

Mr. Kumar earned two bachelor’s degree in education and music from Cardinal Stritch University and a graduate degree in psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  Mr. Kumar is overjoyed to be a part of the Augustine Prep community because of its outstanding reputation and commitment to excellence. 

When Mr. Kumar is not teaching, he enjoys writing novels.  He has published three to date and was fortunate to be able to teach his children’s chapter book to his sixth grade students at Prince of Peace.
