Ms. Koster began teaching with the Center for Urban Teaching in
Milwaukee where she taught 5th and 7th grade for two summers.
During this time, she fell in love with teaching math and the city of
Milwaukee. This experience is why Ms. Koster wants to dedicate her
career to urban education. She is excited to be back teaching math in this amazing city.
Ms. Koster earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Math at
Dordt College (now Dordt University) in Iowa, as well as an Associate’s
degree in Radiological Science at South Suburban College in Illinois.
While at Dordt College, she was awarded the Robert Noyce Scholarship
which helps support undergrad students studying STEM education with
the goal of working in high needs districts.
