Stefanie Gaeding 7th Grade Literacy Teacher

Ms. Gaeding is originally from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, but was raised in the Lake Country area of Waukesha County. After high school, she attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she obtained a bachelors of science degree in English Education. During her time in college she was actively involved in college ministry as well educational outreach in the greater-Milwaukee area. Aside from student support, she kept busy coaching youth cheerleading and nannying.

Her student-teaching experiences allowed her the opportunity to work within the Milwaukee Public School District as well as in the West Allis West Milwaukee School District, which is where she began her career. Following that, she filled in for a number of vacancies as a long-term substitute teacher in school districts including Germantown, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, Muskego-Norway, and St. John Vianney, as well as daily substitute roles in various southeastern Wisconsin school districts.

With the challenges of continuous change, Ms. Gaeding sought a more permanent position outside of education as a 911 emergency dispatcher for Waukesha County police, fire and EMS. She held that position for 3 years until she knew God was leading her back into the field of education. Ms. Gaeding firmly believes that her life experiences outside of education have strengthened her both personally and professionally. Working with students at Aug Prep is her professional goal – a place where she can challenge students to grow in academics and their faith walk. She strives to ensure ALL students feel welcome in her classroom and know that they are capable of success, both academically and personally!
