s s

We are thankful to announce that Aug Prep has been awarded a grant to host the CLC after-school program with the Boys and Girls Club starting the 22-23 school year. We have fully transitioned from the YMCA to the Boys and Girls Club.  NOTE: Students are expected to attend the full program (no early release). The Boys and Girls Club will be at our Back-to-School Kick-off event on Thursday, August 11, 2022.  We encourage you to visit their information/registration table with any questions.  Please see below for more information.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee provides kids and teens with a unique bridge between home, school, and community. We’re looking forward to a fun and exciting time together at our new location St. Augustine opening in August 2022. More information about what the Clubs provide is listed below.

Academic Enrichment

Daily tutoring in reading and math will be provided using evidence-based curricula, including LitArt and ST Math. Additional learning activities will be planned with teachers to align with school programming. These activities cover a range of topics, including:

  • College & Career Exploration
  • Science & Technology
  • Sports & Recreation
  • Leadership & Service
  • Health & Wellness
  • STEAM
  • Social-Emotional Development

Furthermore, external partnerships will provide programming from diverse groups specializing in the arts, scouting, and environmental education. We ask that parents or guardians please pick up children after 5 p.m. to ensure the full benefit of these academic enrichment activities.

Payment Options to Meet Family Needs

The cost for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee to provide high-quality after-school programming is $125 per week per child. We recognize that this weekly expense for afterschool care is difficult for many Milwaukee families to afford, and for this reason, the Clubs fundraise to substantially offset this expense for our member families.  In this way, the Clubs offer a sliding scale rate for families based on income level, which is provided below.  It is important to note that ALL fees are waived (free attendance) for families that secure childcare authorization through the Wisconsin Shares – Child Care Subsidy Program (information follows). Additional opportunities for full scholarships can be provided.

BGC does not differentiate based on how many hours a week a child attends, or how many hours a week they attend. All fees are flat rates - per child, per week.

Payment Dates

Weekly fees should be paid the Friday before programming (Special arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Please talk with your Club Manager for more information).

Fee Reductions and Scholarship Opportunities

BGCGM will never turn a child away for the inability to pay. The Boys & Girls Clubs want to ensure clear and open pathways for all children to attend regardless of payment history. Full scholarships can be provided upon request, please speak with your Club Manager for more information. All conversations with Boys & Girls Club staff regarding individual family payment arrangements will be handled in strict confidence.
