Gala raises more than $3 million, including $2.6 million from nearly 800 attendees to support current students plus surprise contribution to Aug Prep North campaign

Less than a year after opening a new, $49 million elementary school on Milwaukee’s south side, St. Augustine Preparatory Academy is in the process of building out a second campus north of the city.

Launching the public phase of their $25 million fundraising campaign for a new, north shore campus at the former Cardinal Stritch campus, leaders at St. Augustine Preparatory Academy announced Thursday that they have already raised $9.5 million for the effort, bringing them closer to their goal.

Last year, “Aug Prep,” as the school is commonly known, expanded its facilities to include a $49 million elementary school, to which it welcomed more than 730 students in its first semester.
