Aug Prep Celebrates Grand Opening of North Campus

 

Milwaukee (September 24, 2026) – St. Augustine Preparatory Academy (“Aug Prep”) held an official grand opening ceremony for its new North Campus on Thursday, celebrating a significant new addition to Milwaukee’s education landscape.

 

Classes are already underway at the North Campus, which welcomed approximately 330 founding students in K4-6 and 9th grades for the first day of school on August 17. More than 250 donors and supporters from across the community joined all Aug Prep North students and many families for today’s ceremony, where school leaders shared a new video (link) celebrating the legacy of Cardinal Stritch University and the promise of the new Aug Prep campus.

 

Located on the former Cardinal Stritch University site, Aug Prep North represents a $103 million investment in Milwaukee students and families. The new campus features advanced academic, arts and athletic facilities designed to support the development of the whole child.

It was the starting line,” said Aug Prep CEO Abby Andrietsch. “Our founding students and families stepped into something new before they could fully see what it would become. Our supporters believed in those students before they ever walked through our doors. Today, we get to celebrate both. It is incredibly special to see Aug Prep North now filled with students, families and a team bringing this campus to life, and to know that thousands more students will follow. Our hope is that every one of them will be known and loved, challenged to pursue excellence, and equipped to use their God-given gifts to make a difference.”

 

On the first day of school, Aug Prep recently announced the successful completion of a $25 million fundraising campaign supporting the new campus. The campaign brought together more than 150 individuals, foundations, businesses and community partners from Milwaukee and beyond.

 

Their support complements $78 million committed by the Ramirez family and Husco, Aug Prep’s lead benefactors since the school’s founding in 2017.

 

Founding supporters include Lannon Stone Foundation, We Energies Foundation, Kelben Foundation, Arzbaecher Family Foundation, Baird and several of its executives, Northwestern Mutual Foundation, John and Kim Schlifske, Darren and Terry Jackson, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Marian and Bill Nasgovitz, City Forward Collective, Marcus Corporation Foundation, the Kendall family, and the Drexel Fund.

 

The opening of Aug Prep North significantly expands the school’s ability to serve Milwaukee families seeking a high-quality K4-12 education.

 

In its inaugural year, Aug Prep North received nearly 1,300 applications from 39 zip codes and 121 unique feeder schools. Aug Prep North now has an active waitlist of nearly 250 students, an indication of the continued urgent demand for high-quality education options in Milwaukee.

 

The North Campus will add grades and classes over time until it reaches a full K4-12 enrollment of approximately 1,500 students. Aug Prep North serves both tuition-paying students and families, and students and families who are eligible for Wisconsin’s parental choice and Special Needs Scholarship programs.

 

The opening of Aug Prep North is in addition to recent growth at Aug Prep’s original South Campus, the No. 1-rated K-12 school in Milwaukee. Aug Prep South is serving approximately 2,400 students this year, up from the 595 students it served when it opened in 2017. This year the South Campus received nearly 4,200 applications from families in 54 zip codes drawing from 139 feeder schools; there are currently more than 400 students on the waiting list.

 

At both campuses, students will experience a faith-based, exceptional education that equips them to become tomorrow’s leaders, preparing them for both college and the workforce.
