Sarah Arvelo
With nearly 30 years of experience in urban education, Ms. Arvelo is a committed teacher leader who is passionate about student growth and community impact. Now in her 7th year at Aug Prep, she is dedicated to teaching the whole child—academically, emotionally, and spiritually—and is proud to serve the same community where her daughter is also a student. Ms. Arvelo delivers rigorous, standards-based instruction that is both affirming and rooted in best practices. She works to build critical reading skills, foster resilience, and support students in their walk with God. Holding high expectations for all learners, she strives each day to help students reach their full potential. Ms. Arvelo values open communication and believes that strong partnerships with families are essential to creating a meaningful and successful learning experience for every student.
