Erica Johnson

Ms. Johnson is a passionate Christian leader and dedicated Social Worker at St. Augustine Prep Academy. Rooted in a Christ-centered worldview, she approaches her work as a calling-offering care that supports students holistically. 
 
Before transitioning into social work, Ms. Johnson spent over 15 years as a special education teacher in both public and private school settings. Her leadership extended to serving as a Program Support Teacher on a city-wide evaluation team, where she guided fellow educators through professional development in inclusive and student-centered practices. Throughout her career, she has been a steadfast advocate for equity, grace, and the transformative power of faith in education.
 
Ms. Johnson earned her Master of Social Work (2024), along with graduate certificates in Trauma-Informed Care and Substance Abuse and is licensed in Advanced Practice Social Work (APSW). She also holds a Master of Education from Lakeland University (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (2003). Her Christ-led dedication to excellence has been honored through awards such as the MMABSE Teacher of the Year (2012) and the St. Augustine Teacher of the Year (2022).
 
Outside of her professional calling, Ms. Johnson enjoys writing poetry, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is a proud mother of two adult children and deeply values the time they share together.
