Lilia Hazlett
Ms. Hazlett serves as the Middle School Band Director, where she taught Aug Prep's first ever MS Band classes during the 24-25 school year. In addition to 7th and 8th Grade Concert Band, Ms. Hazlett teaches 6th Grade Music, 7th and 8th Grade Modern Band, and leads Aug Prep's MS/HS Worship Team and MS/HS Jazz Ensemble.
In May 2024, Ms. Hazlett graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with her bachelors degree in Music Education and a certificate in Arts Administration. During her time at UWEC, she served on the executive boards for a variety of student organizations including the UWEC Clarinet Studio, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, and Order of Omega Honors Society. She was also a member of the University Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Marching Band during her 4 years. Her most memorable experience was serving as the Drum Major of the UWEC Blugold Marching Band, where she conducted the 475 member marching band, and traveled the country performing with her peers.
In addition to teaching Music at Aug Prep, Ms. Hazlett also assists the Franklin High School Marching Band in the fall, and serves as the Assistant Director of Residential Life at UW Madison Summer Music Clinic in the summer months.
Ms. Hazlett is a proud Milwaukee County native, and is grateful to be moved back home near her family and friends after living in Eau Claire. In her free time she enjoys running, cooking, and watching lots of live music!
