Fernanda De Leon

Ms. De Leon is a dedicated special education specialist who creates a supportive space for young scholars to advocate for themselves and believe in their own power. She guides her students with tools to strengthen their social-emotional skills and fosters an inclusive learning environment. 

Her passion for special education was sparked during her student teaching experience, leading her to pursue a deeper understanding of special education law and advocacy.

Born and raised on the south side of Milwaukee, Ms. De Leon is a proud graduate of Bay View High School. She attended three colleges before finding her home at Alverno College, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Education and her Master’s in Cross-Categorical Special Education K-12.
