Karen was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and she came to the United States when she was 3 years old. She was raised on Milwaukee’s southside near Aug Prep.
Karen is a bilingual woman of faith, wife, and mother of three daughters, passionate about building culturally responsive, faith-rooted spaces for students and families. With dual Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Spanish from Alverno College and over 5 years of experience serving children and underserved communities, She brings compassion, advocacy, and cultural insight to everything she does.
Excited to start a new role as the Faith and Cultural Coordinator, She strives to reflect the love of Christ in education—fostering belonging, spiritual growth, and dignity for every student. Karen is committed to walking alongside families with empathy, equity, and grace.
Outside of work, Karen loves working out, reading the Bible, traveling with her family, and enjoying the little things with her husband, their three girls, and dog. She believes deeply that no matter the season—God is good.
