Joseph Salinas

Joey Salinas was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2023 with a degree in Political Science and a focus in Pre-Law. From a young age, Joey has been passionate about mentorship, education, and supporting youth as they grow and pursue their goals.

 

Before joining Aug Prep as a fellow teacher, Joey served as a pre-college advisor, where he guided high school students through college and career exploration. He also has experience in life skills and prevention programming, helping students build confidence, make healthy decisions, and strengthen their social-emotional development.

 

As he begins this new chapter in the classroom, he is excited to grow as an educator and be part of a school community that values faith, learning, and strong relationships! Outside of the classroom, he enjoys playing basketball, attending Bucks and Brewers games, and playing the guitar!
