Nghia Williams
Nghia Williams has extensive education and mental health experience with deep roots in Milwaukee. She brings an approach rooted in faith, service and a deep commitment to the success of every scholar to her role as the founding K-8 Principal at Aug Prep North.
Prior to joining Aug Prep, Nghia served in leadership positions for nearly 15 years at Milwaukee College Prep, serving as Elementary Dean of Culture and as K-8 Principal. During that time, she had a key role in collaborating to foster strong partnerships, promoting academic success, enhancing instructional quality and cultivating a strong school culture. She has experience at virtually every level as an educator, advancing from teacher’s aide to lead teacher, dean and principal as leaders recognized her potential every step of the way.
Nghia also has first-hand mental health and trauma-informed care experience, serving as a residential counselor at St. Aemilian, providing therapeutic treatment for boys with emotional and mental health challenges, and as a crisis stabilizer/mentor for Alternatives Psychological Consultation, S.C.
She holds a master’s degree in administrative leadership and a principal license from Alverno College, along with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, a master’s degree in cultural foundation and a bachelor’s degree in community education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
She takes pride in being a devoted wife, loving mother, compassionate leader and a child of God who leads with love and purpose.
