John Zwicky

John Zwicky joined the math department of Aug Prep this year bringing 16 years of experience to his new position. He grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin, one of three siblings in his family. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Platteville with a Secondary Education degree. Upon graduating, he taught for 6 years in Beloit, Wisconsin at the same school he attended.

When Mr. Zwicky was married, he moved to Milwaukee, and worked for 15 years as a trainer, curriculum writer, web developer, and e-commerce manager for the American Cancer Society. In 2015, he returned to teaching as a P.E. and Math teacher. When he returned to teaching his work experience proved very valuable in connecting math concepts to numerous everyday life experiences, showing students math and specifically Algebra, are an everyday part of life.

Working with kids has always been a part of his life. From coaching, being an Athletic Director, and father, his passion is to help kids accomplish goals, even if they were unsure of themselves. In his off time, he is an avid woodworker, coach, umpire and a dad to a 23 year old son.
