Kelsey Charron

Kelsey Charron is thrilled to be serving on the Aug Prep team as the Lower Elementary School Dean of Student Success. Passionate about leading with joy, authenticity, and the love of Jesus, Kelsey believes in using trauma-informed strategies to support the holistic needs of all learners. She prioritizes building safe, kind relationships with students and staff, and she can often be found laughing with students, dressed up as a goofy character, or sitting down for a restorative conversation.

Kelsey has earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian elementary education with minors in youth ministry and language arts and has served as a third grade teacher, outdoor education leader, and program director before transitioning to her role at Aug Prep. Throughout her almost two decades of working with youth, Kelsey observed the dire need for trauma-informed practices within education, so she earned her M.A. in Trauma and Resilience in Educational Settings, which has been instrumental in supporting the well-being of youths throughout her ministry.

When not serving at school, Kelsey can be found sipping an iced coffee, enjoying poems by Brad Montague, or laughing around a campfire with friends. She often returns to her roots in Minnesota to visit family, but she loves exploring all the new places and adventures Milwaukee has to offer.
