Elisa Schmidt

Ms. Elisa Schmidt brings nearly 15 years of teaching experience to the high school STEM department, where she teaches Biomedical Science, Engineering, Coding, and Electricity. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout her career, she has primarily taught science and has developed a special passion for chemistry and physics, where she enjoys helping students discover how scientific principles connect to the world around them.

Ms. Schmidt believes the most meaningful learning happens when students are actively engaged in asking questions, solving problems, and applying their knowledge to real-world challenges. She strives to create a classroom where curiosity is encouraged, perseverance is celebrated, and every student feels supported as they grow in confidence. Whether students are engineering a solution, writing code, investigating the human body, or exploring scientific principles, her goal is to help them become thoughtful, capable problem-solvers who are prepared for whatever path they choose.

Outside the classroom, Ms. Schmidt enjoys exploring Wisconsin’s beautiful parks and trails, spending time hiking, reading a good book, and spending time with her dogs. She believes that learning is a lifelong adventure and hopes to inspire her students to approach life with the same sense of curiosity and discovery.

Ms. Schmidt is excited to become part of the school community and looks forward to partnering with students and families to make this school year both rewarding and memorable.
