Meet la Señora Vega

La Señora Cyndi Vega is excited to join St. Augustine Preparatory Academy as a Spanish teacher. She brings 17 years of experience working in education, supporting students in bilingual education, reading intervention, and special education. Her background includes a bachelor's degree in Speech and Language from Puerto Rico and extensive experience helping students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop a love of learning.

As an educator, la Señora Vega believes that every child is capable of success when they feel seen, valued, and encouraged. She strives to create a classroom where students feel safe to take risks, embrace new challenges, and grow academically, socially, and spiritually. She is passionate about making language learning engaging through interactive activities, meaningful conversations, and cultural experiences that celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and build an appreciation for different perspectives.

As a follower of Christ, la Señora Vega views teaching as more than a profession—it is an opportunity to serve others with compassion, patience, and integrity. She hopes to inspire her students not only to become comfortable speaking Spanish but also to embrace the beauty of diversity, develop strong character, show kindness and respect to others, and become compassionate global citizens.

Outside the classroom, la Señora Vega enjoys spending time with her family, exploring nature, hiking, walking by the lake, traveling, and discovering new adventures. She looks forward to partnering with families and helping students have a joyful and successful school year.
