Gabriela Antrop-Colon

Ms. Antrop-Colon was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. In 1998 at the age of 3, she moved to the U.S. In 2000, at the age of five, she moved to Milwaukee, WI. Ms. Antrop-Colon attended MPS schools; she graduated from Milwaukee High School of the Arts in 2014, and moved to Saint Paul, MN where she completed her Associate of Arts degree at Saint Paul College in 2021. She is happy to have moved back home to Milwaukee in April of 2023.

Ms. Antrop-Colon has worked in early childhood education for most of her career, starting as a teacher’s aide in 2015, moving up to assistant teacher, and then upon graduating with her Associate of Arts degree from Saint Paul College in Saint Paul, MN in 2021, became a lead preschool teacher for Primrose Schools in the Twin Cities Metro.

Aside from teaching, Ms. Antrop-Colon prioritizes building authentic relationships with her students and their families. Ms. Antrop-Colon truly believes in serving the whole child, recognizing that the child is not only a student, but a complex individual living a human experience impacted by the environment and people around them. Every child deserves to be supported and loved and she looks forward to contributing to a positive environment where students are encouraged to thrive academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Ms. Antrop-Colon strives to approach each new day with an optimistic attitude, encouraging the natural talents and gifts in others, and practicing gratitude and grace with every situation and individual she encounters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing board games, cooking, baking, and creative journaling.
