School Calendar
There is an important update to the South Campus school day schedule beginning with the 2026–27 school year. We are communicating this change now so families have time to plan ahead, especially as enrollment for next year begins in February.
These adjustments reflect our commitment to steward each school day in ways that best support how students learn, grow, and thrive. Through research, student needs, and our experience at Aug Prep, we identified opportunities to better align the school day with developmental needs—providing more meaningful learning time for younger students and a later start for middle and high school students to support focus, health, and well-being.
We also heard from families about the importance of smoother mornings, clearer routines for households with children in multiple grades, and safer arrival and dismissal experiences. Aligning door-open times and adjusting dismissal windows will help improve traffic flow, supervision, and consistency.
Specifically, these changes will:
-
Improve arrival and dismissal traffic flow and safety
-
Create simpler, more consistent mornings for families
-
Increase instructional time for elementary students
-
Allow middle and high school students to start later, supporting attention and academic engagement
-
Expand after-school opportunities for elementary students
We believe these updates will help students learn better, feel more supported, and make daily routines easier for families.
